Privacy Policy

Account. When you sign in with Google (or another supported sign-in provider), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. If you upload a profile picture in the app, we store that image.

Activity in the app. The races and events you watch, lottery entries and registrations you record, and the people you follow. If you choose to share activity, people who follow you can see it (for example, that you entered a lottery or registered for a race).

Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token so we can deliver alerts about races you watch.

Email list signups. If you join our mailing list on this website, we store your email address, the races you choose to follow, and your announcement preferences.

Diagnostics. We collect crash reports and error diagnostics so we can find and fix problems. These may include device and app-version information.

We do not collect your precise location in the background. If you use distance-based race sorting, your location is used on-device at the moment you request it.

We use your information to run Serie: showing your races, powering the social feed you opted into, sending the notifications you asked for, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

Serie runs on infrastructure hosted by DigitalOcean in the United States, where your data is stored. Uploaded images are stored in cloud object storage. Error diagnostics are processed by Sentry. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Your race activity is visible to people who follow you inside the app. Beyond that, we only share information with the service providers above, or if required by law. If Serie is ever acquired or merged, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, under this policy’s protections.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us; we will delete it within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records. You can unsubscribe from the email list via the link in any email or by contacting us.

Serie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as Serie evolves. We’ll post changes here and update the date above; material changes will be called out in the app or by email.
